Information

There is only one stipulation as to the subject for the photograph(s) - the picture must have been taken at Banham Zoo or at Africa Alive! There is, after all, a wonderful rich variety of beautiful and unusual animals to choose from!

Three age groups:
1. Junior Under 13’s
2. Teenage 3 - 19 (inclusive) years of age
3. Adult 20 years of age & over

Prizes a plenty!

The WINNER in each category will receive £50 and the choice of a season ticket to either Banham Zoo or Africa Alive!

The 2nd & 3rd placing in each category will each receive £10 plus the choice of a family ticket to either Banham Zoo or Africa Alive!

The ‘Highly Commended’ 4th Placing in each category will receive the choice of a family ticket to either Banham Zoo or Africa Alive!

THE ENTRY JUDGED TO BE THE BEST, taking into consideration the
age groupings, will be awarded a further £50 plus the annual FOBZ PHOTO COMPETITION TROPHY.

COMPETITION RULES:

The Competition is open to all from the 1st May and entries will be accepted up to and including the 30th September.

Winners will be notified on or by the 25th October 2009.

Entries may be submitted as digital images directly through the FOBZ website www.friendsofbanhamzoo.co.uk or by post to FOBZ c/o Banham Zoo, Banham, Norfolk NR16 2HE. Photo competition entry forms will be available on the FOBZ website from May 1st for on line completion or as a download for postal entries. Entry forms are also available from the reception offices at each park, or by post when accompanied by a stamped addressed envelope.

There is an entry fee of £3.50 per photograph submitted. Payment to accompany entry(s) submitted. Cheques to be payable to ‘The Friends of Banham Zoo’ please.

Printed photographs not to be more than 8” x 5” (200mm x 130mm).

Printed photographs must be clearly identified on the reverse with the name and address of the photographer, the age of the photographer for the Junior and Teenage categories, the park where the photograph was taken and into which age category the photograph is to be placed and judged.

We regret that submitted photographs will not be returned at the end of the competition unless specifically requested and a stamped addressed envelope supplied.

It is the intention that images will be used by FOBZ, Banham Zoo and Africa Alive! for the promotion of conservation and education either directly or through the sale of products containing the images to raise funds for those purposes.
